- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆This post office is an absolute joke. Not only are the employees rude and unhelpful, but they are also incompetent. I called on a Tuesday to ask about a $300 check that was accidentally addressed my physical address instead of my P.O Box. The woman on the phone was a JERK to me. She was short and spoke dismissively to me. Sorry for interrupting the hive of productivity that is the Elkins post office, but I just wanted to know what would happen in this scenario. I was told that the check would be mailed back to the sender. This was fine with me, because at least I knew where my check was. Fast forward to Saturday. I receive a call from a woman who lives several roads over that she has received a piece of my mail. When I went to pick up what I thought would be junk mail I was handed my check. It's a good thing I knew this woman otherwise I most likely would have lost $300 dollars due to this branch. If you want your mail treated with seriousness I suggest that you bring your business to another post office. ELKINS POST OFFICE, YOU HAVE DISAPPOINTED ME.By Laramie Hart, July 01, 2017
